Secure file sharing for teams that cannot use public links

Most leaks are not dramatic. Somebody pastes a public link into a group chat, the chat is forwarded, and the file stays reachable for years. Controlled sharing removes that whole category of accident.
The problem with a permanent link
A link that never expires is a copy of the file that you no longer control. It survives staff changes, forwarded messages and screenshots, and there is no record of who opened it.
What controlled sharing looks like
In EgreedDrive files live in private storage and are never reachable by guessing a URL. Every download goes through a short-lived signed link issued for one authorised request.
- A password the recipient must enter before the file is shown
- An expiry time after which the link simply stops working
- A maximum download count for one-off deliveries
- Instant revocation from the workspace at any moment
- Access events recorded so you know it was opened
Recipients should not need an account
A client will not create an account to read a contract. Share pages are public by design and private by policy: no sign-in required, but password, expiry and download rules are still enforced, and the pages are never indexed by search engines.
Version history is part of security
Being able to prove what a document said last month matters as much as controlling who sees it today. Every re-upload creates a version you can preview and restore, and deleted files sit in trash for a recovery window before removal.
